Manager of Power Equipment and Facilities

Our client is a leading and global commercial container terminal operator with interests in more than 35 ports worldwide. Key facilities are equipped with the world's most technologically advanced equipment.

Expatriated to the Caribbean
As a part of the terminal management you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of over 100 pieces of on-terminal power equipment. You will also have full responsibility for 200 acres of terminal plus all buildings and infrastructure.

Main tasks, among others:
· Develop department of approximately 70 associates into a high performance team
· Maintain records of terminal equipment (inventory, titles, service history, type of equipment, in service dates, cost of maintenance, operating hours, specifications, etc)
· Daily interaction and coordination with management and port authorities
· Ongoing refinement of work processes to eliminate redundancies, improve production and reduce costs
· Ensure all terminal infrastructure is maintained according to corporation standards
· Work closely with all departments establishing effective relationships to gain cooperation and operational efficiencies

Strong motivating and coaching skills
Through many years of experience you have gained strong managerial and supervisory skills. You have the ability to communicate effectively to all management levels and the ability to generate clear, logical action plans and procedures for a variety of tasks.
